Ski Tour

An intrepid group of five skiers led by Stew Hilts ventured out on the trail this afternoon. Thanks JT for doing your best to groom and track-set the trail. In the trees there was enough snow to make skiing pleasant but in open areas the trails were very icy. Nevertheless we skied most of the route with the exception of the Conservation Land. We gingerly traversed down Jensen's Hill some on skis, some on foot. In conditions like today, skiing/walking is often the wisest course of action (not on the ski tracks of course). Despite the wind and the ice, skiers today enjoyed the trail and plan to come back hopefully with more forgiving conditions. As Ward said, it wasn't Greenland.
